Summit talks will give outlet: leaders

Leaders of Seven Party Alliance say they have reached common understanding in many agendas during the summit talks on Sunday and expressed hope that Tuesday's talks would finalise all issues.

Talking in a program at the Reporters' Club in the capital on Monday, UML standing committee member Bharat Mohan Adhikari said since the parties have reached to consensus on many issues, the transitional period would not last long.

He said the summit talks would reach a conclusion as most parties expressed flexibilities on their parts. He stated that though they discussed matters at length on Sunday, they could not reach to an agreement due to lack of time.

Rajendra Mahato of Nepal Sadbhawana Party (Anandi Devi) expressed dissatisfaction saying the partied ignored the issue of citizenship to the Madhesis.

Vice chairman of the People's Front Nepal Lila Mani Pokhrel expressed hope that the meet would reach a conclusive end as issues of disagreements seen in the past were eliminated in this (yesterday's) round of talks.

Arjun Narsingh KC of Nepali Congress also said the summit talks would give an outlet of the present crisis within this week. nepalnews.com ia Oct 09 06
